Help with Windows 7 Admin rights

Postby King Quake » Mon May 30, 2011 23:16 UTC

Hi,

I tried to save a change in my config for q3:

bind F6 "g_synchronousClients 1;record;g_synchronousClients 0"
bind F7 "stoprecord"

To record demos, but when I try and save it it tells me I can't, even though I am the only user of this computer and the admin (Man I hate these problems)

Any idea how to save to my own freakin computer!!!

Thanks

You sure it's not marked as read only or something? I use W7 and never had this problem. Also, I use notepad++ to edit files like that, not saying that'll make a difference but worth a try.

How to Take Ownership & Grant Permissions to Access Files & Folder in Windows 7

This is rare, but if you can't open certain files from other PC or old installation or some old backup, then you need delete alternate file streams:

Code: Select all
streams.exe -s -d .
