"Nunchux" a good friend of mine helped me out on wireless connections or access points. and how to increase signal quality from what u have now..increasing it to 20% in range and vice versa. i had at 5mbs speed with poor connection...after using a aluminum pie thingy.. it jumped to 24mb's and good quality connection

Cool, great advice! :)

I wonder why did you have only 5mbps by default to start with, it's really low for any modern WiFi. Do you live in a bomb shelter? :)
