Either way the anarchy US server has been dead since the change. It's a shame, I was hoping more people will get on board with the new settings.

So in the end, it should be returned to the regular vogon style it was before, since no one ever goes there any more.

Gumby it has it's peak during the afternoon PST. I am even surprised at how much traffic the 3 servers have been getting!

Dyn can you chime in, how has traffic been for the Q3 servers?

I play for the excitement of combat in the hard core mod. If it's toned way down, it's not as exciting.

Well I like the new settings, the only reason I haven't been on as much lately is that my wife and I just had a baby girl which is of course exciting and exhausting. Unfortunately my wife was not keen on us naming her vogon, in fact I think her response was "what the fuck is vogon?" Prob for the best, I think vogon would make a better boy's name than girl's....

Anywho, I can't decide which I love more, the "evil" admin's playing around with settings on FFA to keep us all on our toes and make it a whole new game from time to time OR the shitstorm of feet-stomping hissy fits that follow on the forum. Good stuff....

I sneak on at all different times of the day and here's what happens: the usual bigs (KQ, Gum, Zoo, AG, Inspjim) have 40 frags, everyone else 0. It's ridiculous. If I'm playing a bunch of n00bs, same thing. Me 40, them 0. Once the best player currently on the board gets quad and/or wings there's no point in playing. Further, a lot of usuals will show up, *sigh* and then disconnect.

Call me a complainer, a bitch, a douche, I don't care (except Dean, Ric, I'll f*@k you up!) ... this is not a good setting for this server. If you really want to keep this setting for a while, maybe dump quad and telefuckall?

i don't really understand what the big deal is with these settings. it's something different. other than being slowed down without haste, picking up ammo is nearly the same as uk's ammo limitations.

in reference to craij's post, i think the one change i'd suggest is making rockets the default starting weapon instead of rail.

i'd also reiterate that the sooner you stop counting frag numbers and worrying about winning, the sooner you'll win.

Though I completely agree with the theory of implementing changes every so often, I think it would be most enjoyable
