q3 in 3d

one of the new features in ioq3 is "anaglyph stereo rendering for viewing with 3d glasses" ( http://wiki.ioquake3.org/Stereo_Rendering ).

i haven't tried it yet but was wondering if anyone else would be interested in trying it out on hq2 or somewhere?

im have both haha .. im at work now so i cant test it this second, but ill run home here in a little bit. I just had to download the new version, then drag pak0 from my old baseq3 to the new one

i think you just enter the following in the q3 console:

\r_anaglyphMode 5

the number being one of the following depending on what color-combination 3d glasses you have:

1: red-cyan
2: red-blue
3: red-green
4: cyan-red
5: blue-red
6: green-red

HOLY SHIT IT WORKS! i typed it \r_anaglyphMode *5 thats why it wasnt working. U do need the correct 3d glasses though but WOW ... its INCREDIBLE

I left the greyscale set to 0 bc i wanted color in the background, and i set my render to 32 or 16 i forgot. Looks sweet though.

Oh i see this is the red vs blue type 3D, not that crazy mod they made for HL bitd that was a screwed-with-your-brain type 3D...

i am soo curious about that 3D thing! i didnt even finished reading the thread, but looking out for some glasses in the web. i found them on Ebay for a only a few coins and ordered them straightaway. i would love to play that on Vogon!! i guess the demand of that mod will not be incredibly high. i dont know how much work it means for the admins to switch a server to 3D and back, but maybe there could be one 3D-Day in a week (Sunday?) on one server.
just an absurd idea.

I don't think it is a server-side thing... I think it's client-side. You should be able to run it on vogon. (I think)

It is a client thing. Im sure if Dyn wanted to he could change the settings but im sure thats not gonna happen. But it does work on Vogon, thats what my pics are from I was played CTF.
