as to what the fuck is going on? lol.

i downloaded some .pk3 files for another server, put them into baseq3 and this started. the icons dont automatically stick/organize. nothin is really affected i can play fine and if i hit thumbnails or whatever it organizes itself. but wtf.. its only baseq3 no other folders do this.

"list" and "details" are fine. no sticking problem.. but "icons", "thumbnails" and "tiles" dont stick right when i move things around. what a weird issue

simple per-folder:
right-click on clear space > Arrange Icons By > Auto Arrange (also try Align to Grid for manual positioning)

reset all system folders settings:
Tools > Folder Options > View > Reset All Folders
(not for icon position, it can replicate "Auto Arrange" to all folders for example)

Close Windows Explorer window and start it again for changes to take effect.

If this fails you can remove all settings manually:
1. Open Regedit with Run > regedit.exe
2. Delete keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags
( export them if you want to backup old settings )
3. reboot (optional)

Also try Crap Cleaner and enable cleaning of Menu/Window/User Assist under Advanced.

You can enable some extra options in CCleaner under System and Advanced tabs:

+ add special ini for 270 new rules:
