Help yourself to find your lost laptop and/or netbook

Postby sistah » Fri Apr 22, 2011 14:31 UTC

When I saw this program I was thrilled with the idea!
Even though I don't have laptop or netbook
I still cannot imagine my pc to be stolen!

It's an open source software which after you install it,
it runs silent and you can control your lost laptop:

- Take a picture of the thief
- Control access
- Watch their movements

and maaaaany more!

Check it!

Great idea! People should support this.

I also recommend http://www.truecrypt.org/ for system / data protection. However, if you use system encryption then thief will be forced to format + reinstall OS, removing any remote control software you may have on that laptop.

GPS tracking and hardware-based remote destruction of data is also a possibility, but i think too expensive at this moment. Some corporations and gov agencies i think already use it.
