what is the lastest video card that works for quake 3 arena and other games. can someone please give me some input on this cause the pc qeeks have no idea at all, which is so funny cause they get paid for this type of thing, but anyway, in the past monsterblast was good but haven't found anything like that on the net. Hope that some one here has the knowledge that I am looking for. Thanks Hacksaw. (be safe and well always) :DD :oldman:

i was able to run quake 3 with a steady 40-60 fps on a 400 mhz pentium 3 with 8mb of video.

try turning graphics and resolution down.

vertex lightning helps the most.. 640x480 or 800x600 resolution and vertex lighting.

there is many other things you can turn off for the sake of running quake on low end machines.
