Chrome login problem -- delete cookies

Postby dyn » Mon Mar 10, 2014 06:00 UTC

Some versions of Google Chrome may "bounce" you out right after being logged in for some reason. In case you have login problems delete all vogonhq cookies. You can do it automatically by visiting the URL at the bottom of each page, or simply click here: ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies.

If you are logged in and delete cookies it will effectively log you out.

Apparently this crap was not fixed, so just delete all and any cookies you see, here is some older post about it:

If you are using Chrome and have any problems with permissions or posting, go to Settings > "Show Advanced Settings" > "Content Settings" > "All cookies and site data", then type vogon and delete all cookies. After you do this your session will expire, and you will need to log in again. It was some issue with Chrome only and it should be fixed by now.

Edit:
You can also use this, very simple: ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies

Partly related, anti-spam blocklists sometimes can block valid registrations. A few providers of those lists were removed, so there shouldn't be any false positives anymore. In case you are blocked, you can use our Anon account and let us know. Also this account can be used by all those who only want to ask a question or two, and don't want to open a full account for it.
