Very good service! You can send any suspicious file and it will be analyzed by ~35 antivirus engines! It can detect trojans and other malware as well. Only thing which i don't like is when UPX packed executables are shown as 'suspicious' by engines like eSafe. UPX [ wiki ] is normal exe packer and harmless, but sometimes hackers use it as well, to reduce file size, and some less evolved AV engines think anything packed with UPX is malware. Nice example is Total Commander which is 'suspicious' according to eSafe, even when it's 100% clean.

VirusTotal is a service developed by Hispasec Sistemas, an independent IT Security laboratory, that uses several command line versions of antivirus engines, updated regularly with official signature files published by their respective developers.
